Baltimore Ravens: Top 10 Offensive linemen in franchise history

By Chris Schisler

The Baltimore Ravens have made some amazing history in the trenches of the football field. This is a look at the top 10 offensive linemen in Ravens history. This video was a lot of fun to make. The rankings were easy. Some rankings are hard. These were easy. 1-5 was automatic to me. There was no leeway, no compromise. They were the guys.

With the offensive line, there must be some honorable mentions. These are players that didn’t make it into the Top 10 video. The first honorable mention is Bennie Anderson. Anderson played with the Ravens from 2001-2004. He came into the league as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee State. He started 56 games at right guard before the Ravens.

Secondly, I wanted to talk a bit about Jared Gaither. If it weren’t for injury, Gaither could have been a top 10 offensive lineman the Ravens ever had. He’s the only player the Ravens ever took in the supplemental draft. In three years with the Ravens, he started 28 games. A Maryland native and a Maryland Terrapin, Gaither was a player that you wanted it to work out for. When he was healthy, he was good.

The final honorable mention goes to Ryan Jensen. Do you remember the Kiko Alonso hit on Joe Flacco? Well, Ryan Jensen’s defense of his quarterback will always be one of my favorite things. Jensen was tough as nails. I would have loved to see him win his Super Bowl ring in Baltimore rather than Tampa Bay. Still, I am glad to see he got a ring.
